The ban will officially take effect as of the 1st of June 2025, that's 53 days from today. It sounds like a lot of days, but let's face it: the days are flying by! We’re already four months into 2025; it just feels like January was last week!
Disposable vapes
What is a disposable vape? A disposable vape is a single-use, pre-filled device that consists of a battery and a sponge infused with the e-liquid.
Disposable vapes have been on the market for approximately 5 years, and let's face it, if you use a disposable, it’s because of how convenient it is. However, the cons outweigh the benefits, which is why a ban is in place. You can read more about the ban in our blog here.

Disposable VS Pod Kit
Since disposable vapes came on the market, the sales have sky-rocketed all due to the convenience, flavours and hype. However, you can get the flavours from e-liquid and pod kits are not as complicated as they seem. They are just as convenient as disposable and less harmful to the environment compared to disposable vapes.

Why not make the change sooner than later? This allows you to explore your options without having to wait until the last minute. There is no obligation to switch to a vape starter kit; if you wish to quit altogether, that’s ok.
If you wish to switch to a vape kit, the first step would be to have a look at what vape kit is best suited for you. There are a few options of sizes such as the “pen” style which states what it looks like, square, rectangle shaped pod kits and there's also sub-ohm devices which is made up of a mod and tank. Without making it complicated, sub-ohm kits allow you to create larger amounts of vaper as they take a larger, generally lower resistance coil.

Nic salts are a great way to get nicotine straight to the system and offer a smoother vaping experience. This would be the recommended e-liquid to choose if you’re switching from a disposable, as the TPD disposables contain 20mg nic salt e-liquid. We also offer a 5mg and 10mg nic salt options if you want to decrease the amount of nicotine (5mg is not available in all ranges, please check the product listing).
Another e-liquid option would be shortfills, which are available in 50ml, 80ml, 100ml and 200ml. They’re called short-filled because there’s an extra space in each bottle, allowing you to add your 10ml nic shots (sold separately). 50/50 VG/PG Shortfills are suitable to vape in starter kits and pod kits. 50/50 relates to the amount of PG and VG in the e-liquid. PG is thinner in viscosity, so easier and quickly flow and tends to carry flavour a little better. VG is thicker but also produces thicker clouds when used in conjunction with the correct setup.
High VG/PG Shortfills are suitable for sub-ohm kits. Although many pod kits now do have the option of sub-ohm pods or coils high VG liquids are thicker, so they can be more suited to a real sub-ohm kit and tank system. These kits tend to be able to deliver a higher wattage to enable a faster ramp or heating time for the coil in turn burning a lot more e-liquid and creating a thicker dense vapour cloud.

What’s Next?
